Hello, I’m Isabella Littleford, a seasoned fashion expert with a deep-rooted passion for exploring the crossroads of high fashion and daily wear.
Having spent more than ten years in fashion, I’ve had the honor of honing my craft in Paris, the capital of couture and partnering with renowned design icons worldwide. That experience taught me to recognize high-caliber craftsmanship, fresh concepts, and enduring style. Golden Goose sneakers have long caught my attention, a brand that effortlessly marries a pre-worn character with impeccable high-end craftsmanship. Here, I’ll walk you through my thoughts on different Superstar models, exploring their design language, wearability, and wardrobe potential.
Whether you’re a die-hard sneaker collector or simply looking to inject a bit of chic into your wardrobe, I’m here to offer you expert insights with knowledge gained through a decade in the field. Come with me as we unpack what sets these sneakers apart!
I purchased my first pair of Golden Goose sneakers a few months ago (which I originally featured in this post), and received a number of questions about them since then. So many that I thought it was time for a full review! I’ve also broken them in well that I feel like I have a good grip on their quality, and a bunch of related details about them, which you’ll find explored in this post.
So I’m breaking down a bunch of common questions, as well as where to score deals on them, just ahead! Also, if you’re looking for more of my recent reviews, have a scroll through my Abercrombie vs. Agolde jean more information about Golden Goose shorts review, Goyard St. Louis GM Tote review, and thoughts on the Dudley Stephens fleece pullover!
Where did you end up buying them?
Cettire had them on sale and I jumped on it right away!
Placed my order on April 28th and they were delivered by the 30th, so the shipping was super fast – definitely a bonus
What’s the cost?
I snagged a pair for $385.43, though they usually retail for around $513.91.
You can expect to pay between four hundred bucks and seventeen hundred depending on their level of detail.
How is the fit?
I found them to fit true to size, at least for me.
Since they don’t stretch and half sizes aren’t available, I’d recommend sizing up.
Is the comfort worth it?
They’re extremely comfortable, and only took a few hours to break in..
How durable are they?
Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over the city, and I’m impressed with the durability. No glitter has fallen off, and the structure feels strong. Because they already look worn, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
How are they vs. other brands?
They’re the highest quality sneakers I have. I love my Vejas and Tretorns, but Golden Goose are just on another level. They include a built-in arch bump that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re not mass-produced, so each pair is unique. And the sparkle on mine? Absolutely gorgeous.
Are they worth it?
Yes! Though I suggest looking for a deal. They cost a lot, so getting them on sale is smarter. I’d pay several hundred for the quality, especially if you find a style that suits you. I chose a loud pair, but a neutral version would also go with everything.
Best places to buy them cheaper?
Scroll down for my go-to sources. I had a amazing experience with GGoose.org, so I suggest them first.

Where were you able to get your pair?
I ordered mine from Cettire when they had a solid deal going on.
I ordered them on the 28th of April and they were delivered by the 30th, so the shipping was really quick .
How much do they run?
When I bought my pair in spring, I paid around $385, but their standard price is $513.91.
You can expect to pay between $410 and $1,700 depending on their uniqueness.
How is the fit?
They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a EU 36. Since they keep their shape and they don’t come in half sizes, I’d choose the larger option.
Are they comfortable?
They felt good almost immediately. No-show socks help with the break-in period, especially since they help with airflow. High-end Italian leather construction, so it’s much more comfortable than breaking in fake leather. Bonus, they’re already broken-in so your feet just slide in.
Do they hold up well?
Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they’ve held up beautifully. The laces are intact, and the leather hasn’t stretched.
Thanks to the vintage look, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
